EMMA STONER / STONEHENGE SUMMER SOLSTICE
Before the sun rose over Stonehenge, Emma was already weaving through the crowds, camera in hand, capturing the characters, costumes and contagious energy of the summer solstice. Her photographs celebrate the people who bring this ancient tradition to life, revealing moments of joy and connection as thousands gathered to welcome the longest day of the year.
‘This weekend, I did something extra special and travelled to Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice. It was magical to be amongst the stones for both sunset and sunrise, and through the night as the moon hung low in the sky.
I even managed to get a little sleep, so had enough energy to capture a few photos of the 20,000 or so people who came to celebrate! It was wonderful to mark the longest day of the year in such an incredible setting.’ Emma Stoner
