LPA / Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition

LPA took a trip to Somerset house to cast an eye over the award winners and their collections…

From the Professional competition boasting exceptional work across categories such as Architecture & Design, Documentary projects, Environment and Landscape, to the Open competition that showcased both already established and new and emerging talent, this exhibition held a variety of photographic talents for London to see.

A special feature in the exhibition was a collection of large-scale aerial photographs by the Outstanding Contribution to Photography award winner, Edward Burtynsky. These large abstract prints stood strong against the high ceilings of Somerset house and highlighted subjects and themes that have commonly featured during his 40 year career.

It’s always insightful seeing the work of others and we’d highly recommend a visit. Fingers crossed for a feature from one of our LPA Photographer’s next time!
