MARCUS PEEL / LPA PRODUCTION / VERNE

At LPA, we love projects that take us somewhere unexpected, and our recent shoot with Marcus for Verne, commissioned by Cheil, did exactly that!

Verne develops and operates low-carbon data centres across the Nordics, powering AI and high-performance computing. The brief was to capture the scale of its cutting-edge infrastructure while telling a story about the people, technology and landscapes that make it all possible.

Over four days, Marcus travelled across Iceland and Finland, photographing two of Verne’s data centres in challenging winter conditions, brrrrr. Working alongside Creative Director Nick Spink and the Verne team, the goal was to create a bank of images that felt authentic.

From vast snowy landscapes and dramatic architecture to environmental portraits and behind-the-scenes shots, the final imagery showcases Verne’s commitment to sustainable innovation and the people making it all happen.

Despite freezing temperatures and unpredictable weather, the team delivered a powerful collection of images that highlights both the scale and personality of Verne’s business.

LPA helped with all things production including logistics such as flights, hotels, carnet, crew, even helping with drone licence - as well as the usual negotiating fees and budgeting for overall shoot costings and liaising with the agency on scheduling and contracts. Great team work!
