Dear Ask an Agent,
Got a question on usage for you. My client has asked me to quote on ‘biddable media’ which is new to me, can you throw some light on it? And where do you think I should position my fee on this?
We have had this recently too actually, although apparently it’s a term that has been around for a few years.
Biddable media is pretty much what it sounds like, it is media that is bought through an auction, by bidding for it. It’s mostly online advertising space (impressions) and whoever bids the highest gets the space. I could attempt to explain the more complex machinations of how it works but the fact that it is ‘biddable’ only really describes the way the media is purchased rather than what it actually is, which as you know is what we base our fees on.
In terms of the value of your photography and quoting fees, quote as you would for online advertising.
